At our corporate office, located in the Houston suburb of Katy, TX, our Team Members provide a wide range of support, planning, and logistics for our stores and distribution centers. With amenities such as an on-site Starbucks, gym facility, football field, and cafeterias, the corporate campus is made to accommodate a fun work environment. Corporate Team Members can also look forward to on-campus activities such as seasonal intramural sports and fun runs.
We strive to provide all Team Members with opportunities for personal growth, cross functional training and job opportunities, and career advancement. We offer a mix of instructor led, online, and blended courses in several key areas, including Career Development and Leadership Development. Our training offerings include courses designed to improve the skills needed for specific roles, as well as those designed for anyone looking to sharpen their knowledge and skills. Examples include our Buyer Training Program, Academy Retail University, Presentation Skills, Insights Discovery, and Accountability Builder programs, among others.

Executive Trainee Program
Academy’s Executive Trainee Program is designed to attract talent for entry-level merchandising positions, through a 10- week training curriculum that provides a foundation for success in a corporate environment. Executive Trainees work directly with Buyers, to receive on-the-job experience with merchandising, financial management, sales and profitability analysis, advertising planning, and inventory control. After successfully completing the program, trainees are given the opportunity to continue their career at Academy as an Assistant Buyer.
